On 12th of December 2013 in The Silesia Voivodeship Office a presentation and demonstration of PROCeed system took place. The meeting was attended by a dozen of specialists from the Security and Crisis Management Department of the Voivodeship Office. All of the participants were introduced not only to the innovative PROCeed system and environment but also to the two decision – making games Flood 2.0 and Epidemic. As a result of the meeting there will be close cooperation conducted between ITTI Sp. z o.o. and The Silesia Voivodeship Office. The first step will take place in January, when in the Czestochowa University of Technology first joint tests will happen.

Isolated cases of flu caused by mutated virus AH1N1 occurred in the Wielkopolska voivodeship. Quickly the number of sick rose uncontrollably which threatens the outbreak of epidemic in the whole region. In the result hospitals are overcrowded and out of medicines. Local governments had to undertake necessary steps to minimize negative consequences of the disease including  quarantine of the sick, implementation of special information policy  or constant control of available resources. Players impersonate: voivodeship crisis management team, three city teams and two borough teams from Wielkopolska voivodeship. Gamers have to solve over 220 problems through making the right decision and, consequently, choosing the best option of procedure. Conference entitled “Crisis management systems” took place in Warsaw on 23 of October 2013th. ITTI company was one of the patrons of the event and presented materials about PROCeed system and decision-making games scenarios “Flood 2.0”  and “Epidemic”. During the conference issues regarding communication systems, data safety and actions management in crisis situations were discussed.

Article on PROCeed system entitled  “Decision-making games – preparation system for decision-making” was published in the first issue of polish magazine „Bezpieczeństwo publiczne” (nr 1 September/October 2013). Authors of the paper Tomasz Springer, Joanna Modławska, Maciej Szulejewski and Andrzej Adamczyk explained the functioning of decision-making games in PROCeed system. They also highlighted the importance of decision-making games in the training process of the local governments  employees. Creators of the article presented the most important features of the PROCeed system and preparation of decision-making game sample scenarios.

Czestochowa University of Technology has recently finished tests of the decision – making game “Flood” designed in the PROCeed environment. During the summer semester the game was properly tested and implemented in “Crisis management” course. From now on designed by ITTI game will be a permanent element of the University curriculum. On 22 of May 2013 “Communication in crisis management” conference took place in Hotel Amber in Gdańsk. During the conference ITTI, which was one of the sponsors, presented “Crisis management is a team game” topic. Any additional information on decision-making games and PROCeed environment were presented in special information point which was available through the conference. Especially interested in our products were represents of emergency services and self-governmental organizations. We are also proud to announce that it was the presentation of ITTI company, which after the conference was evaluated as the most interested one.

From 17th to 19th of April IX International Conference “Education for security. Military and non-military paradigms of security” organised by Social Science Faculty of University of Security in Gdansk. During the conference current research findings and practical solutions addressed towards 21st century multi-dimensional security challenges and needs. ITTI presented PROCeed platform and its application both during a plenary session and on an exhibition counter. We encourage to familiarize yourself with after-conference publication. The conference was attended by representatives of learning environment, public administration, local governments, public forces, non-governmental organizations and private companies and people interested in the theme of the event. On 14th of February 2013 the presentation of PROCeed platform and educational decision-making game “Flood”was held  at the Faculty of Civil Safety Engineering, Central Fire Service School in Warsaw. The presentation was attended by the Head of Safety Research Paul Kępka and senior captain  Wiktor Gawroński. If the talks end successfully Central Fire Service School in Warsaw  will be the beta tester of the game “Flood” during the summer semester.

On 15th  of February 2013 the STAS project workshop was organized at ITTI Ltd. office in Poznan. The meeting was attended by experts of crisis management, development of educational games and simulation modeling.  The aim of the workshop was to verificate the methodology and to validate a prototype simulation application STAS (aka PROCeed Designer).  The conclusions of the workshop will serve as a guide for the further development of the methodology within the decision-making environment and enhancing systems analyzing crisis situations. The STAS project intends to organize two more rounds of such meetings.

On 12th of February 2013 representatives of ITTI Ltd. conducted a training session for the personnel of the Faculty of Material Processing and Safety Engineering at the Technology University in Czestochowa. The participants of the training were coaches who apply decision-making game “Flood” in their educational activities.
